Tractatus logico-philosophicus

Ludwig Wittgenstein

His Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, composed in a series of remarkable numbered propositions, was the only book he published in his lifetime. He tackles nothing less than the question of whether there is such a thing as a logically perfect language and, armed with it, what we can say about the nature of the world itself. The Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus (abbreviated and cited as TLP) is the only book-length philosophical work by the Austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein that was published during his lifetime (1921). The project had a broad goal: to identify the relationship between language and reality and to define the limits of science.
