Kimitake, un adolescente encerrado desde hace varios años en su habitación, pasa su tiempo jugando en la Red, en un interminable juego llamado Campo de Batalla. Poco a poco, ha ido perdiendo la noción de la realidad, hasta que un día, algo sucede: conoce a Ketsuno, otro adolescente a quien decide seguir. Juntos encontrarán al resto del grupo que bautizarán como caballos desbocados, en honor al autor al que Ketsuno y Kimitake veneran. Con ellos, saldrán en las oscuras noches a limpiar Megaciudad, capital de Reino de Sombras, de la pérfida casta de los corvinos, el clan antiguo que señorea todo el Reino. Dejarán de ser Hikikomoris para convertirse en guerreros que hacen Justicia a sangre y acero...
